When I was in short trousers I was very interested in all sports, especially football. I always wanted to play for England at Wembley. I realised my ambition a couple of years ago: I played at Wembley for a celebrity team on Cup Final day and scored a goal.
I was born as the war was ending and was a teenager at the time of a musical revolution. My heroes were Elvis, Little Richard, Chuck Berry etc., and I therefore wanted to be a rock and roll star.
